Advanced Research Methods Final Project: “Scavenger Hunt”

This fun final project for my graduate Advanced Research Methods class (ANTH 234) was an exercise in applied research skills and engaging storytelling. The task was simple - when assigned a random question to answer (literally pulled from a bag!) can you not only answer that question, but also identify how it might connect back to our school, San Jose State University?

My Role

All work on this project was completed by me, including the research, writing the script to tell the story, filming footage to visually bring my audience along for the ride, and editing together the final film deliverable.

Deliverable

The deliverable was the short film below, shown in class. My goal for this video was to both tell an engaging story and to explain my research process.
